About Manuka Honey

Where it Comes From

Manuka Honey is our favorite ingredient by a mile. We love what it does so much, that we named our company Honeyskin! Raw, organic Manuka Honey is contained in all Honeyskin Organics products, so it is very important to us that you understand what this wonderful ingredient is, where it comes from, and why we stand by it so firmly.

Firstly, we import all of our raw Manuka Honey from New Zealand, particularly New Zealand's North Island. There is where it is produced by local honey bees, who pollinate the flowers of the native Leptospermum Scoparium tree, also known as the "manuka bush.” Once the bees produce this special honey, it is then harvested by professional, Unique Manuka Factor® Honey Association (UMF) registered beekeepers, packaged, then shipped by way of our registered UMF distributor to us for use in all of our products.

Our raw Manuka Honey is organic, pure, never tested on animals, and completely free from any added substances or chemicals.

What it Does

Now, here's why Manuka Honey itself is so amazing. Manuka Honey has been used for a very long time since "ancient" times to be precise, for its intrinsic antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Manuka Honey is known to help protect against damage caused by bacteria, assist the body in surface-level healing, and help your body repair tissue damaged by infection, all while nourishing the skin with a powerful medley of vitamins and nutrients.
